Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three years experience in communications, library science, business administration, administrative support, computer technical skills, word processing, and/or data-input can substitute for Bachelor’s degree
Description
  • Monitors receipt of materials based on established schedules, such as prediction tables. Recommends changes in prediction tables as warranted by changes in publishing patterns and recommends reporting tools to help manage the flow of information.
  • Handles claims and any necessary follow-up to assure that materials are received on a regular basis and missing items are replaced as rapidly as possible. Works closely with staff in other units to assure that materials are entered into the system smoothly.
  • Communicates by letter, e-mail, or phone with authors, editors, and publishers concerning submission of new material, coverage agreements, claims, surveys, and coverage queries.
  • Works with supervisor to establish new procedures for obtaining material when publishing technology changes.
