Job Description

As an SEM Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid search and social media ad campaigns to meet our organization's digital marketing objectives within the U.S. You will leverage your expertise in search engine marketing platforms, keyword research, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and data analysis to drive performance improvements for maximize return.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop SEM strategies and create comprehensive campaign plans.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing search terms from tools like Google Keyword Planner, Semrush, etc.
  • Set campaign goals and define key performance indicators (KPIs).


Campaign Execution and Optimization:

  • Create and manage PPC advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, YouTube Ads, LinkedIn Ads, X Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
  • Write compelling ad copy and work with in-house designers to create effective landing pages.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and implement adjustments to improve CTR, CPC, conversion rates via A/B or multivariate testing through CRO.


Keyword Management:

  • Continuously monitor and refine keyword lists via Google Keyword Planner, Semrush, etc.
  • Implement negative keywords to improve ad targeting.
  • Use keyword match types effectively to control ad visibility.


Budget Management:

  • Manage advertising budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Allocate budgets across campaigns and ad groups.


Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inbound leads using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Salesforce.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement based on campaign ad performance within Google Ads, GA4, and lead gen performance in Salesforce.
  • Generate regular reports detailing campaign performance.
  • Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.


Competitor Analysis:

  • Keep an eye on competitors' SEM activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to gain a competitive edge.


Stay Current with Industry Trends

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in SEM and search engine algorithms.
  • Implement best practices and new techniques to improve campaign performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • At least three years of proven experience in SEM/PPC campaign management and a focus in CRO.
  • Familiarity with SEM/Social Ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads, and LinkedIn Ads), bid management tools, CRO (VWO, Optimizely, etc.), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and other relevant software (Semrush, Moz, Hotjar, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
