Job Description Summary

This position is located at Fenway Park & MGM Music Hall in Boston, MA. This role will be a member of the Facilities Department supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of the facility's plumbing systems.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

Maintain the domestic water system on the complex including the following:

  • Domestic Hot Water Boiler Plant
  • Potable Water Filtration System
  • Office & Locker Room fixtures
  • Concourse plumbing (concessions, restrooms, water fountains, drainage)
  • All associated piping and valves

Maintain the sanitary and storm drains on the property including the following:

  • Grease traps - Concessions, Kitchen, Site Drainage
  • Cleaning and snaking of storm drains and sediment baskets
  • Testing and repair of anti-siphon (Backflow) devices.

Isolate and drain down of all exterior water systems for freeze protection. Responsible for the completion of all PM and record keeping assigned to their area of responsibility, review and update information as necessary. Responsible for proper use of all tools and materials associated with their trade. Monitor CMMS for work order queue, update work status to completion. Submit work orders for all work performed. Make recommendations to their supervisor as necessary on the performance of equipment. Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies readily available for maintenance work. Ensure that safe working conditions are being maintained in all areas under their control. Perform other tasks as assigned by Account Director, Department Manager and other account management personnel.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational certification preferred.
  • Possess a MA Journeyman or Master Plumbers License.
  • Ability and willingness to work off-hours as needed to support venue projects and events.
  • Experience in Sports, Entertainment & Hospitality industries preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS and ability to utilize a digital work order management process.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFC and Life Safety codes.
  • Possess knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power and hand tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members.
  • Be able to coordinate projects or tasks efficiently and optimize the performance of others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, tenants and vendors

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Regularly use various machinery, hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to quickly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Occasionally required to work around vibration or noise as well as dust.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Work on ladder, hydraulic lifts and/or staging.
