Sr. Finance System Support & Research Analyst

Works to enhance the user experience through the coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts and will serve as a primary resource for the business throughout the software development lifecycle. Provides user support for existing financial systems and assists with research, design, documentation, and implementation of new solutions to meet business needs. Utilizes enhanced analytical and reporting functions to provide insight into processes, UAT test results and customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

Technical Functions:

• Develop and maintain system workflow in third party invoicing applications.
• Develop automated reporting solutions to routine operational processes, utilizing the Finance Systems, Student Information System or other databases and reporting platforms.
• Develops, successfully implements, and trains new workflow and system enhancements to support strategic growth of the team.
• Finds innovative ways to continue to improve efficiency, reporting, and product delivery.
• Reviews processes for process improvements for various teams, as requested.
• Drives process improvement through automated solutions in PowerAutomate, PowerApps and other platforms.
• Designs and maintains reconciliation solutions using VBA, Macros and Excel functions.

Essential Functions:

• Write processes and procedural drafts related to the software programs and various Finance processes.
• Report on the status of development projects and outstanding service requests.
• Assist with development of detailed business requirements.
• Create test plans for new enhancements, upgrades, and projects.
• Work with Finance Teams to coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) resources and processes with Finance and IT and to ensure all applications and databases implemented are tested prior to deployment.
• Communicate approval of projects, concerns, or delays to AVP, Finance Systems.
• Reporting and communication of issues found during UAT to Finance and IT staff.
• Assist with implementation and training of new enhancements, upgrades and projects.
• Collaborate with Finance department to develop and implement process improvements.
• Mentor Finance System Support Analysts including onboarding new team members, training and maintaining training repository.
• Implement automated processes to increase workflow efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
• Research, identify, organize, and analyze data sets to identify trends and provide insights to business units.
• Special projects as assigned.

• Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.
• Ability to solve problems in an ever-changing environment.
• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, understanding finance and technology terminology.
• Advanced skills with MS Office Suite.
• Microsoft Forms
• Azure DevOps and SDLC experience
• Microsoft Power Platform experience
• Billing Platform experience preferred
• Excel VBA
• SQL
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required
