Summary We are looking for a custodian to join our team in Covington, Georgia You'll work 7 AM to 3:30 PM , Monday-Friday Essential Functions Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stem cleaning, shampooing or vacuuming Gather and empty trash and recycling Service, clean, and supply restrooms Clean and polish furniture and fixtures Operate riding floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers and carpet extractors Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events Any and all other duties/tasks assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate basic instructions Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
