Benefits Administrator
Laurel MD

MUST:
5+years of experience in the Benefits Administration field with 2+ years of experience as a Benefits Administrator
Experience handling open enrollments as well as making benefit changes
FMLA experience and administering short term and long term disability
Experience handling Cobra enrollments
Experience working with vendors and negotiating contracts
Processing benefits
Working on 5500 forms and strong compliance experience
Administering 401k
Experienced with SalesForce
Experienced with ADP
Ability to interpret FMLA and ADA as they relate to leaves
HRIS
Bachelor's Degree

DUTIES:
The Duties of the Benefits Administrator include but are not limited to the following:
Respond to benefit inquiries
Oversee benefits programs including 401k, Health, dental, disability, FSA, life insurance
Work on improving new benefit programs
Work with vendors and third party administrators
Train staff on benefits
Negotiate contracts with vendors
Research for best plans and rates across various markets
Coordinate transfer of data for new plans
Revise processes to reduce costs of benefits
Ensure compliance with government regulations and handle reporting
Handle processing of daily benefits
Handle enrollments for benefits of new employees
Process terminated employees in COBRA
Make changes and terminations to various benefits
Oversee employee benefits files and update payroll records
Provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments in the HRIS
Review benefits with new employees
Review benefit related data for accuracy
Assist with benefits claim issues and plan changes
Determine employee eligibility
Process monthly billings and review for accuracy
Analyze current benefits for competitive trends
Process and administer leave of absence requests as well as disability and FMLA paperwork
