Responsibilities

Keysight is looking for a proven experienced Account Manager within the test and measurement industry to manage a territory located in the MD and VA area. This individual will be responsible for growing the business and successfully implementing a business plan to develop accounts, find new customers and accounts, and propose business and technical solutions to meet customer's stated and unarticulated needs.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, independent, results oriented sales professional who is self-sufficient for most sales activities, including basic product demonstrations. As necessary, the individual will marshal and orchestrate Keysight resources to create and win business and drive customer satisfaction. Must be able to solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.

This individual will be a leader, bringing internal teams together to execute our strategy for sustainable growth and responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction.


* Responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned territory.

* Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions.

* Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans.

* Responsible for developing customers and maintaining their satisfaction.

* Maintains positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers.

* Proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries; actively creates business opportunities

* Determines and develops approaches to sales assignments to achieve quota/ strategies

* Leads projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations

* Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity


Qualifications

* Technical BS Degree (ideally Electrical Engineering) or relevant technical sales experience.

* Requires at least 3-5 years of industry related experience in technical product sales.

* Account management experience in the electronic hardware technology sector.

* Strong understanding of electronics test and measurements.

* Strong written & verbal communication as well as sound business judgment, organization & negotiation skills, be able to prioritize, do presentation & problem solving, listening skills, sales experience, work remotely, strategy creation.

* Demonstrated successful track record in achieving results and team leadership.

* Overnight travel (typically <25%) required.
