As a Senior Asset Accountant at JVCo, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our company's assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the accounting processes related to our manufacturing equipment, property, and other assets critical to our operations.

Location: The person selected for this position will be required to be located within or near the Memphis Metropolitan Area where the plant will be located (Marshall County, MS)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive asset accounting policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with contractors to follow-up deviations to original budgets.

  • Oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of all company assets, including but not limited to manufacturing equipment, facilities, and vehicles.

  • Conduct regular asset audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to monitor asset utilization and depreciation.

  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts related to asset acquisition and depreciation.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.

  • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in asset accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements related to asset management.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct in all aspects of work.
