The Salesforce Consultant will work along the full development lifecycle, including configuration, customization, and implementation. You will work in an agile environment with other developers, product owners, designers, test engineers, and functional SMEs to deliver various Salesforce requirements and best practices. You will work closely with the customer and team to solution around new capabilities or features to support the mission.

Responsibilities

The Salesforce Consultant's duties may include:

    Scoping out projects by gathering requirements from client stakeholders
  • Creating Salesforce solutions off the back of user stories
  • Utilising Salesforce declarative functionality to build solutions, and working with Developers when requirements go beyond point-and-click functionality
  • Performing demo's of the Salesforce build to gather feedback
  • Overseeing UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Documenting the Salesforce build
  • Training users & super users
  • Work on an agile delivery team with other developers, product owners, designers, test engineers, and functional SMEs
  • Work directly with the customer to iterate on requirements and product feedback
  • Support briefings and updates for non-technical audiences and senior leaders
Qualifications

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline
  • At least 7 years of professional services or technical consulting experience
  • At least 7 years Salesforce configuration and consulting experience
  • Client facing and project management experience
  • Deep understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Portal/Communities, Marketing AppExchange Knowledge and deep knowledge in several AppExchange packages
  • Functional testing development
  • Ability to design Enterprise/Large Scale solutions for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience (Community) Cloud
  • Experience gathering requirements for cross-organizational transformation, with changes impacting multiple teams
  • Experience with "Big picture" solution design, with multiple integrated systems
  • High amount of stakeholder management, acting as the clients' escalation point
  • Experience with complex data migrations
  • Experience overseeing large deployments
  • Experience controlling release management
  • Ability to develop detail roadmaps for future enhancements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have stakeholder management skills, responsible for governance
  • Must be a US citizen

PREFERRED

  • Salesforce certification(s)
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps technologies and tools, including GitHub
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and consulting skills
  • Experience working with DOD or military IT systems
  • Experience working with human resource systems
  • Active Secret Clearance
