Job Description

What success looks like in this role:

  • Conduct internal and external investigations into potential or actual violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and remedial measures.
  • Build relationships with the association relations and HR teams as well as technical subject matter experts throughout the company to ensure accurate and timely input into compliance investigations.
  • Provide oversight, support, and ensure objectivity, and quality of compliance and ethics investigations globally.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, processes and controls around investigation, bribery and corruption prevention, third party due diligence, and risk assessment and mitigation matters at Unisys.
  • Manage the retaliation prevention and monitoring program for the company to protect our speak-up culture.
  • Select, track, and monitor detailed data analytics related to ethics and compliance investigations including time to close, and both subject matter and geographic trends and prepare presentation materials to communicate this data to senior management and the Board.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement, implementation, and monitoring of the company's anti bribery and anti-corruption program, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act, and the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  • Provide training and education to employees and business partners on compliance topics, such as bribery and corruption prevention and controls, investigation process best practices, and third-party due diligence.
  • Assist with due diligence and risk assessments on third parties, such as agents, distributors, suppliers, and contractors, and support compliance with the company's business partner code of conduct and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and update the company's compliance records, reports, and documentation, and ensure timely and accurate reporting to relevant authorities and regulators.
  • Advise and support senior management and other stakeholders on compliance issues and best practices, and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external counsel, auditors, consultants, and regulators on compliance matters, and support the company in compliance-related audits, inquiries, or litigation.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in compliance, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting, with exposure to international and cross-border investigations, transactions, and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of compliance laws and regulations, such as the FCPA, the UK Bribery Act, and AML regulations, and their application to various industries and jurisdictions.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex and sensitive compliance issues.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, employees, business partners, and regulators both in writing and verbally.
  • Highest of ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A growth mindset: a proactive person interested in continuous improvement and passionate about taking ownership and seeking a better way.

Desirable Additional Skills:

  • Ability to speak language(s) other than English
  • Solid knowledge of risk management principles including the concepts of risk appetite and tolerance, root cause analysis and risk remediation and mitigation.
  • Experience drafting and revising corporate policies.
  • Comfort with public speaking and presenting.
  • Experience with third party due diligence best practices and programs in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of EU Whistleblower Directive and local implementation procedures and policies.
