About the Team & Role

The Sr. Manager of Product Architecture will spearhead our transition towards a more agile and robust technology ecosystem. Overseeing a team of 10-15 Application Architects, this role is pivotal in shifting our development practices towards a service-oriented and API-first approach, optimizing our applications for cloud environments, particularly Azure. The successful candidate will guide our journey from legacy systems to contemporary, flexible architectures that prioritize scalability, performance, and business agility.

How you'll make an impact

  • Strategic Planning: Craft and execute a forward-looking strategy that embraces an API-first mindset, ensuring our architecture supports our business goals and facilitates integration and scalability.

  • Leadership and Development: Lead a team of Application Architects, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Mentor team members to excel in a transitioning landscape from traditional development practices to modern, cloud-native solutions.

  • Architecture Oversight: Guide the architectural direction for developing scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud-based solutions. Ensure the architecture facilitates easy integration, scalability, and future growth.

  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, manage budgets, and mitigate risks, applying Agile methodologies to ensure projects are delivered effectively.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure technical strategies and implementations align with business needs. Foster strong relationships across departments to support the API-first approach.

  • Innovation: Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in software architecture, cloud services, and API development. Encourage a culture of learning and adaptation.

  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure solutions meet high standards for security, compliance, and performance. Promote best practices in testing, deployment, and continuous integration.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $147,000.00 - $195,000.00
