Overview

Director of Capture

Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Clearance: Secret

The Capture Director functions as a "conductor of the orchestra" in large-deal captures, solely responsible to facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach that ties the bid solution from the technical approach through pricing strategy, and ensures all corporate business development processes for operations, security, contracts, recruiting, and finance are adhered to across the full team. The Capture Director functions in a conceptual sense as a "solutions architect", tracing customer needs and requirements from early in the bid cycle through final submission. They are a complete utility player, having insight and understanding of each of the corporate supporting functions, with the ability to backfill and and backstop any obstacles or challenges that threaten the bid and employs strategies to overcome those obstacles. The Director of Capture should be comfortable leading a capture effort no matter the agency, line of business, or level of complexity, as this is a rotational position supporting bids across the totality of Integral's core competencies.

This position is based in the DC/MD/VA area and reports to the Chief Strategy Officer. Travel may be required to cultivate new and ongoing business endeavors. The successful candidate will balance a hybrid work schedule that includes telework and in-office work.

Responsibilities
    In partnership with the Director of Business Development, the Director of Capture interfaces with the customer community to understand requirements and needs and identifies shaping opportunities to influence final RFP to enhance PWin
  • Builds capture plan as an informational document to inform proposal team of customer objectives, solutions, and key messages; assists Proposal Manager in the writing/shaping of proposal documents when needed
  • Drives pricing strategy
  • Drives teaming strategy and finalizes teaming arrangements
  • Obtains and applies an understanding of the competitive landscape and adjusts solutions, as needed
  • Analyzes the organization's strategic plans and products
  • Conducts initial "blue team" storyboard mockup that outlines initial solutions and includes win strategy, development of major themes and proposal strengths
  • Prepares and conducts decision meetings and interfaces with senior management for internal approvals
  • Analyzes the DRFP against Win Themes/Discriminators, Refined Technical Management, Cost/Price, Past Performance Baselines
  • Prepares B&P estimates and ROI justifications for assigned captures.
  • Leads and manages execution of capture activities to ensure costs, schedules, and performance goals are met.
  • Using provided tools and guidelines, classifies the win probability, funding probability and bid/performance risks and establishes appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Interfaces with industry peers and evaluates/recommends teaming arrangements.
Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of ten years of Capture Management experience with proven capability to execute a capture strategy and win pursuits

* Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or a combination of education and experience

* Secret Clearance

* Proven track record of pursuing and winning various bids of 100M+

* Experienced with rapid IDIQ task order processes and responses to a defined timeline

* Ability to work in a matrixed, fast-paced team environment

* Demonstrated ability to develop proposal objectives from vaguely defined requirements

* Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks are essential

* Efficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required

* Experience supporting a diverse set of customers, especially the Department of Defense, including intelligence programs customers

* Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
