Job Description

Orano is seeking Experienced Welders to support the 2nd Shift work performed in its nuclear fabrication facility in Kernersville, NC. This position offers top pay and outstanding benefits with no waiting period.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Weld components using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes.

• Perform fit-up as needing in fabrication process.

• Work from travelers (shop routers), procedures, standards, and written and verbal instructions.

• Maintain traceability of all materials and processes through established procedures.

• Operate grinders and perform other shop fabrication tasks as needed.

• Maintain clean and orderly work area.

• Ensure proper functioning of equipment and maintain all tooling and equipment in accordance with standard shop practices.

Pay Range: $26-$31/hour (plus 2nd Shift Differential of $2 per hour)

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

• High school diploma or its equivalent with at least 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area.

• Proficient in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes, required to achieve and maintain in-house welding certifications.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld maps.

• Working knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing practices.

• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinder, squares, tape measure, hand tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
