MUST:
Must have active Top Secret clearance
Experienced Cyber Data Engineer
5+ years of related experience in cybersecurity and data analytics.
Must hold at least one current IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP).
Expertise with MS SharePoint.
Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery languages, and SharePoint Framework Extension.
Knowledge of REST, Chef, Ansible, Python, Windows DSC, CSOM, JSOM, and SP Services APIs.
Experience with data extraction, transfer, and load (ETL) processes.
Familiarity with Open Security Controls Assessment Language, XML, JSON, and YAML.
Proficiency in Splunk for data analytics and visualization.
Expertise in SharePoint and Splunk for dashboard creation and presentation.
Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
Experience with PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
Ability to create and implement data integration strategies.
Ability to ensure data integrity is maintained.
Bachelor's degree required or an additional 4 years of experience
DUTIES:
We are looking for a Cyber Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for gathering, organizing, and presenting cybersecurity-related data into clear and concise dashboards through various sources including log and vulnerability analytics. Technical expertise in various programming languages and tools including Splunk, Python, PowerShell, and SharePoint are a must.
Responsibilities Include:
Data Analysis: Analyze status data from various sources including Axonious, Splunk, RMF control status, asset data, audit information, vulnerability data, scans, and access controls.
Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with data owners and capability providers to develop standardized and code-based capabilities for data ingestion, normalization, extraction, transfer, and loading (ETL).
Graphical Data Presentation: Develop graphical representations presenting status clearly and in simple formats. Provide drill-down capabilities for specific details and reporting. Present the consolidated data in clear and concise visual dashboards.
Data Gathering and Consolidation: Gather data from multiple sources. Consolidate the gathered data into a unified dataset. Utilize Python, Splunk, and SharePoint for data gathering, consolidation, and presentation.
Data Management Strategy: Create strategies and associated documentation for moving data into a centralized repository. Maintain accurate data with appropriate tagging and labeling.
Cyber Security Analysis: Log and vulnerability analytics through sources such as ACAS, Nessus, web servers, firewalls, routers, etc.
