Position Summary:

This Protected Distribution System (PDS) Network Specialist position provides support for the 844th Communication Group (CG). This includes ensuring that all components of the PDS systems to include but not limited to hardware, interceptors, stoplights, and software are current and up to date with the latest vulnerability patches and security updates and ensuring that all components of the PDS are fully functional.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure all components of the PDS systems comply with all DISA STIGs, DoD and AF TCNOs, and vulnerability patches recommended by DISA, the Air Force, relevant commercial entities, and the Government.
  • Ensure the PDS and all associated facilities to include but not limited to communications closets, manholes, and hand holes receive all necessary annual revalidations.
  • Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan for the PDS system and implement the disaster recovery plan immediately when directed.
  • Respond onsite and remedy internal PDS alarms within 15 minutes of notification from Government during duty hours. Confirm and clear alarm as non-threat or report an intrusion to appropriate Government entities within one (1) hour.
  • Provide training, as requested.

Location: Joint Base Andrews, MD

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with PDS Stop Light Distribution System.
  • Experience in managing Network Integrity and CyberSecure Systems.
  • Must have an active Security+ certification.
  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

CDO's total compensation for each position is set within an established range. The final compensation will be determined by demonstrated skills and experience.
