Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

As a Surgical Technologist II, you possess advanced knowledge of surgical techniques and are able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure. You will serve as a resource person for specialty cases and demonstrate working knowledge of specialty equipment. Experienced Surgical Technologists will also serve as a primary preceptor for new grad Surg Techs and other staff, helping to orient them into the scrub role in the operating room.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  1. High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  2. Associate degree in Allied Health or equivalent combination of education and clinical experience preferred.
  3. Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
  4. Certification in specialty as Surgical Technologist required.
  5. Current CPR Certification required.

Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift. Call and weekends may be required depending on staffing vacancies and vacations.
