Job Description

Athenix Cyber & SIGINT is seeking a System Administrator Level 3 to work in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

This Sr. System Administrator will support both development and production environments for a mission-critical Identity and Access Management(IdAM) system. Responsibilities include working with a team to obtain and configure Virtual Machines(VMs), loading Operating systems and software, performing security hardening, patching, and monitoring status. The position also will support ISSO and Issues. Apply knowledge of computer operations, platforms, systems, architectures, functions, and terminology. Independently read, write, and implement standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in System Administration Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required if COR determines that the position's activities include CWIP activities.
  • Experience with:
    • Configuration and Maintenance of Virtual Machines
    • Linux and Windows operating systems
    • Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Perl)
    • OS and Software application patching (e.g. IAVA, Version updates)
    • Container Technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Knowledge or skill relevant to computer operations
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with:
    • IdAM directories (active directory and/or LDAP)
    • Ticket tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Redmine, RT Tracker
