About Us: The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) is a distinguished language school specializing in language training, proficiency testing and curriculum development. ICLS caters to a diverse range of government agencies, corporate clients, professionals, and organizations seeking to enhance their language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills.

Job Overview: ICLS is actively seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth and expand our presence in the corporate sector. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly within the corporate and business training landscape, with exceptional communication and relationship-building skill, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for language education. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets to contribute to the school's success.

In addition to our language and internship programs, we offer ongoing professional development courses for our staff and language educators.

This is an in-person position at our Washington, DC location, although some telework will be permitted.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand our customer base, achieve revenue targets and corporate objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate and private clients, identifying their language training needs.
  • Proactively seek and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets within the corporate sector.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas.
  • Implement sales programs by developing sales action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Foreign Language Division and English as a Second Language divisions to ensure that the sales strategies align with ICLS' mission and educational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and materials, identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, partnerships, and online sales channels.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to maximize performance.
  • Maintain and manage sales staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.

Annual Salary Range $75K - $95K

Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3- 5 years of progressive experience in B2B sales and sales management with a focus on corporate clients.
  • Proven success in developing and managing key accounts in the corporate sector.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or other similar CRM software
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Familiarity with language training and proficiency testing.
  • Experience working with international clients and multicultural teams.
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the global corporate training market.
