Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to provide network and infrastructure support. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
    Design, implement, and maintain a national wide network infrastructure.
  • Analyze the current and future needs of the network, such as bandwidth, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls and servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any network issues that may arise and provide technical support and guidance to other network staff and users.
Qualifications

5+ years experience in a network engineering role. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Additional work experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers). Experience with network implementation and maintenance. Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches. Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards and technologies, as well as the ability to work with different vendors, platforms and systems. Must have good communication, documentation, and project management skills. Able to maintain current knowledge and skills through in-services, workshops, and/or seminars. Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
