Job Description

Our scientists at TEL Technology Center, America, LLC. work to integrate new and innovative technology into the products and tools we currently have as well as develop new tools to streamline our current processes. We are looking for a SUNY Poly student intern to work part time with our group on a wide variety of R&D activities.

This internship will be payrolled via our payroll processing provider.


Group/Role Overview:
The Thin Films Process Technology Group at TTCA focuses on next generation films deposited by ALD, CVD, and PVD for use in semiconductor manufacturing. We optimize the processes and hardware used to deposit high performance thin films for advanced front, middle, and back end of the line applications.


Responsibilities:
* Develop new or modified processes and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors
* Work with process and hardware engineers on 300mm wafer deposition equipment in CNSE clean rooms
* Work with group engineers to propose criteria and format for hardware and process evaluations
* Compile, analyze and summarize test data from the evaluations
* Evaluate the chemical characteristics of vaporized deposition precursors, for example using FTIR or RGA
* Create and revise standard operating procedures as needed, and document tasks for future reference
* Compile and analyze test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications
* Assist in recommendation and interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors as part of process characterization


Preferred Qualifications:
* Pursuing Undergraduate Degree in: Nano science or engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
* Familiarity with vacuum systems, organic chemistry, and flammable liquids and vapors
* Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must be fluent in English
* Must be able to work in teams as well as individually
* Ability and desire to work as a part of a multicultural team

* Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.

Salary Ranges$19.92 - $25.11

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
