GPOI Graphic Designer

IDS International is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) task orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Create designs to be printed in coursework based on the client's preference and maintain consistency with standards laid out by the customer.
  • Ensure the quality of graphics in both texture and color is maintained in digital and print format.
  • Ensure all materials are originally designed.
  • Researches up-to-date design trends and newest techniques.
  • Collaborate with other team members to align designs with the written material to for full effect.
  • Inspect outputs for possible errors before final printing.
  • Inspect final printed material for quality assurance

Required Qualifications:

  • Formal training and certification in Graphic Design.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a position as a designer of textbooks/educational resources.
  • Able to work remotely with occasional travel to Apex, NC for team meetings and workshops
  • High degree of computer proficiency, with emphasis on MS Office suite, MS Project, and necessary graphic software.
  • Ability to work individually and meet timelines associated with the creation of educational materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a trainer or teacher of adult education.
  • US military service or knowledge of military protocol, acronyms, and teaching techniques.
  • Experience working with foreign militaries (sub-Saharan African nations a plus)
  • Graduate Degree.

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
