Position Summary

The School of Liberal Arts is looking for part-time faculty who are able to teach the following Freshman Composition courses:

ENG 101 - Academic Writing and Research 1
ENG 102 - Academic Writing and Research 2

Candidate must be able to teach in a face-to-face, in person capacity during daytime, evening, or weekend hours. They should also be experienced with online teaching in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Teach assigned class(es) in accordance with department policies, curriculum requirements, and instructional mode.

Assess student progress in meeting the learning objectives of the course through formal and informal assessment.

Meet required deadlines for submitting book orders, grades, attendance, and other information as required.

Adhere to departmental standards and college safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in English or a related field and documented teaching experience.

The English Department is seeking adjunct faculty from diverse backgrounds and with a strong commitment to DEIA practice and pedagogy.

Preferred Qualifications:


Previous college-level teaching experience preferred.
