Kaman Industrial Technologies has a vacancy for a self-motivated and experienced Assembly Shop Technician to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. 

 

The Assembly Shop Technician Performs finishing assembly for gearing, hose, linear and other products produced in the assembly shops.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Perform assembly processes for gearing products, using manufacturer’s recommended processes to assembly, test, paint, nameplate, package and ship, producing quality work in an efficient and workmanlike manner.
  • Perform cut to length, and cut and couple of hydraulic hose assemblies, assembling product to manufacturer’s recommendations, producing products with zero defects in an efficient and workmanlike manner.
  • Perform linear cut to length and assembly, cutting profile rail and round rail to manufacturers required tolerances, finishes, cleans and packages according to manufacturer standards.
  • Perform, with training and experience, product specification, quotation, order processing, expediting and purchasing of components using the KIT system and vendor e-commerce capabilities as required
  • Perform shipping/receiving duties as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as may be required by shop coordinator or team leader.
Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of High School Diploma/GED required, 2 years of shop or mechanical training or demonstrated capability for gearing, bearings, hydraulics, linear, and other assembly processes

Skills and Abilities

  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude preferred. 
  • Knowledge of the distribution industry (Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fluid Power, Electrical, Motors, Motion Control, Material Handling, Bearings) preferred. Knowledge of KIT products a plus.
